This week we did a photoshoot at our latest project, a beautiful modern extension of a 1900’s townhouse along the river Schie at the outskirts of Rotterdam. The open and transparent addition to the monumental townhouse has a generous connection to the surrounding garden and fabulous views over the adjacent river. The extension is part of an extensive renovation of the existing townhouse in which up architecture created a comfortable new home for a young family. The historical structure of the monument was restored with more formal working spaces at the streetside and informal living spaces facing the garden. Large windows create an natural relation between the interior and the landscape surrounding the house.
