01.04.2025 up architecture has completed the technical design for 13 homes in a contemporary farmstead in the Gemeente Castricum

At the edge of the village of Castricum, between forests, dunes and the open Dutch polder landscape, up architecture designed a contemporary interpretation of the traditional farmstead that offers space for a small-scale community. The design emphasizes connection, both physical and symbolic, between the new residents, the historical identity of the Brakersweg and the surrounding natural landscape. The plan includes a mix of villas, semi-detached houses, row and social housing, ensuring a variety of housing types that meet diverse needs and encourage an inclusive community.
